Dreary Weather on Deer Mountain
Dreary Weather on Deer Mountain
Got back from my trip today and posted my photos on Flickr.
Strolled through Jack’s alley
Had no new revelations
Just knew all was fine
Walked the bridge and bay
Hopped the trolleys until dusk
Street singing Otis
Yosemite closed
We made San Fran restlessly
Spent our nights in slums
Stagg’ring through sand dunes
Whispers amplify on air
No snake socials found
Sleet soaked desert trails
Long hikes with no money spent
Nirvana hunting
Navajo tacos
Made us run through the Forrest
Camped at the Canyon
Higher than ever
The white rabbit runs away
Cortez comes down quick
Cheap wine and brandy
Mt Harvard our destiny
No trail means no end
Turns out that we couldn’t have planned this trip at a better time. All national parks are free admission until the 25th.
Tumbling from peak high
Amidst snowfall and thunder
Not a Deer in sight
I’m out on the road for the next two weeks with three other friends. We left Wisconsin Thursday night and arrived in Denver about noon. After an interesting time out in the Denver night, we’re off to Rocky Mtn national park.
I’m going to try to post a haiku every day as a brief recap of some of our experiences. Here’s my first:
The nicest dentist
Shared his magic in Denver
The blues in her bag
